Dr. Bongiorno is thorough and very caring. He is fantastic with following the status of my pet every few days. His assistant Brittany is also lovely and knowledgeable.

Highly recommended, attention to details, staff is just as amazing as Dr Dave. Caring and compassionate.

Dr Dave is so good with my 2 dogs. He is compassionate and gets how important the dogs are to us.

In all I thought they were a lot better here in the past, but that definitely did not come thru on this visit. Felt more like a Walmart than a Publix if you know what I mean. All that nonsense and an untreated dog with uncut nails for $300. Burn me once shame on you. Burn me twice....... not gonna happen. I will not be back

#4. Asked about proper nail length since dog is so big it is hard to tell if they are too long or normal. He spuddered something about checking and trimming but never did.

Paws are bigger than a lot of peoples hands? I looked later and saw a very irritated bump on the webbing. Should have been very obvious to him since that his job. And Eliminate the need for meds that were not needed.

#2- very inexperienced help backing very large dog into a corner next to the owner to try to hold him by his head after no introduction to the dog. Extremely poor "bedside manner" Girl walked in behind dr , dog did not even know she was in the room yet, came from out of nowhere and got in his face. She is very lucky to have a face.

#6 gave him a 3 year rabies shot instead of one year "for less pokes" (which the dog did not even feel in the scruff of his neck, but tries selling it by bringing pain to your pet as a selling point) its also a $63 ring.

As far as we are concerned, Island Animal Hospital is absolutely the best. Great Doctor, wonderful attitudes. So glad that they are located here.

#1- did not weigh dog

#3- Also, I had noticed a couple days earlier the dog was licking at one of his paws a lot more than normal , I asked dr to check because its hard for me to see well close up. Dr saw nothing wrong told me to give him medication?!.

#5 Asked me a birage of dumb questions most of which I had already pretty much covered and I already voiced my concerns. Later I found that was for a $56 consultation fee , BS.
