Love this store - most of all the employees. They've become family!
Very disappointed with the workers in the deli. I go there for lunch a few days a week and get mediocre service at the best. This past trip pushed me over the edge to write a review. I go there and they are out of sides and the lady says 3 minutes for mac n cheese(while looking in the oven) and she'll go in the back and look for potato wedges. She then comes back 5 minutes later saying they are out of the mac n cheese. I was like are you serious! You just said it was 3 minutes until it was done. Then she doesn't come back with potato wedges... there was a helpful man who helped me after she couldn't and cooked all the new sides right away. The other girl didn't even make one of the sides. Very lazy workers there. The only reason why people go there is because of the lack of quick subs and hot food on Marco but this publix takes forever. I suggest to everyone to go to the big publix over the little one if you don't want to get frustrated.
Overall great place to shop except for the deli/hot foods section. Workers barely speak English and are extremely lazy. Rarely able to get exactly what I want from the hot foods.
Wonderful selection of groceries and produce, very clean and organized. Professional Staff. Hard liquor not available, but the store carries a great wine portfolio.
During Hurricane Irma, Publix opened after Tuesday morning with ice and foo ds and cool air from their huge generators. They save many people's freezers. They provided water. I have shopped Publix since 1972 and always liked,them. Now, I think they are superb. Those generators must have cost them, but they kept the stores open for two days until electricity was restored. Fantastic cooperation with a heart.
